Buffalo Niagara Visitors Guide
Located on the shores of Lake Erie in Western New York state, Buffalo is a city rich in history and cultural diversity. It is also nationally recognized for it's architectural richness and abundance by being home to approximately 80 sites that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Year round recreational activities abound, ranging from major college and professional sports to winter skiing to boating and fishing, coupled with the country's largest intact parks system. With four distinct seasons, Buffalo has a lot to offer.
Buffalo is also establishing itself as a premier "festival" city including the Allentown Art Festival, the National Buffalo Wing Festival, the Taste of Buffalo and Buffalo Brewfest to name a few. Not to mention one of the greatest wonders of the world, Niagara Falls, is just a 40 minute commute away.
Many residents enjoy going to Toronto (Ontario, Canada) where 7 million Canadians call home. Toronto is less than an hour and a half away. It offers so much --- theatre, shopping, world renowned art galleries, ethnic restaurants, and architectural gems...NYC on a smaller scale.
